About the Owner
I have been a little all over the place throughout my life. In 2004, while living in Brooklyn, I had two children under two years old and desperately needed a hobby. After trying every craft under the sun, I took a jewelry class and fell in love. I've been making jewelry ever since.
I opened up a bead store in Brooklyn and sold it to a customer when I moved back to NH. I then became a stay-at-home-mom for 8 years, while still making jewelry and selling it on Etsy.
I decided I wanted to get back into the workforce but turns out most people don't value the skills women learn when staying home so I couldn't find a job.
Frustrated, I opened up my own marketing company with my husband and it took off. As I started to grow to the point of needing to hire staff, our local non-profit theater found itself in trouble and about to close. So my husband and I gave up our company overnight and took on the task of saving a community gem. I became the Executive Director and dedicated six years of my life turning the theater into a healthy and thriving organization. The work was fulfilling, and I'm proud of my accomplishments, but it cost me much of my mental health. At the beginning of 2021, I left my job to heal and oped up Rage Gems & Jewelry.
I make all of my jewelry with 100% unbridled rage with a goal of helping to tear down the Patriarchy. Every day. Every single day. Never stop. Are you with me?
